About Manhattan Housing Authority

Provides housing to income qualified applicants. The Housing Authority currently has five properties totaling 202 units, with efficiency, 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom units. The Housing Authority also manages a sixth property (Flint Hills Place Improvements) with 30 dual-designated Public Housing/Low Income Housing Tax Credit units.

Provides rental assistance to income qualified applicants who lease a
rental unit from a private landlord. The Manhattan Housing Authority's
Section 8 HCV service area includes Manhattan and Ogden in Riley
County, and extends into Pottawatomie County to include the communities
of St. George and Wamego.

The Section 8 HCV waiting list time is approximately 12 - 18 months.
